Information for Organizations that Host/Announce Rare Breed Shows
Below is a list of show organizations that allow, or are
expressly for, rare breeds. The phone numbers and web addresses (if available)
for the larger clubs are listed. Web sites typically list upcoming shows.
Some clubs require you to register your dog with them in order to show
the dog or be eligible for their organization's championship. Some
allow day of show entries and others require advance registration.
In addition, local match shows sometimes allow rare breeds. Check
your local paper, dog clubs, etc. You may also wish to subscribe
to the The Match Show Bulletin, a monthly publication that
lists match shows and indicates which allow rare breeds. They also
list other dog events, such as earth dog trials, obedience trials, etc.
